Tomotoro: From Maldoro to Beta

Tomotoro: From Maldoro to Beta

A while ago, I wrote about Maldoro, a small Pomodoro app I started building to learn more about GTK4, GNOME, and Libadwaita.

Since then, the project has changed quite a bit. I decided to rebrand Maldoro as Tomotoro and give it a fresh identity. What started as a small learning project has slowly become something I genuinely enjoy working on.

Tomotoro is now at Beta 0.5.0. It’s still under development, but the app is becoming more stable and usable with each update.

The next beta release will include built binaries, making it easier for people to download and try Tomotoro without building it from source.

I’m still working on improvements, fixing issues, and adding features along the way. There’s still a lot I want to do with the project, but I’m happy with how far it has come since the early days of Maldoro.

You can follow the development and find the latest updates through the GitHub and GitLab repositories.

For now, Tomotoro is still a work in progress, but hopefully the next release will make it easier for more people to give it a try. 🍅
